The small and beautiful town of Pushkar is set in a valley just about 14 km off Ajmer in the north Indian state of Rajasthan. Surrounded by hills on three sides and sand dunes on the other, Pushkar forms a fascinating location and a befitting backdrop for the annual religious and cattle fair which is globally famous and attracts thousands of visitors from all parts of the world.

One of the most popular and colorful fairs of the Thar desert is the Pushkar fair, which begins on Kartik Shukla Ekadashi & goes on for five days till Kartik Purnima. The time of the fair coincides with the bright half of the moon during the months of October-November. The lake at Pushkar is one of the most sacred in India.

Day 1 : Arrival in Delhi

Shop till you drop from various trendy shops of Delhi. Explore Delhi's nightlife by visiting India Gate lawns. End the day by overstaying at the hotel in Delhi. You won't even get to know how fast the first day of your Golden Triangle with Pushkar will pass on.

Day 2 : Delhi - Agra

After having a breakfast at the hotel, leave for Agra on a 6-hour journey. Unwind in the comforts of your hotel room after arriving in Agra. Have lunch at the hotel and move on for a sightseeing tour of Agra. Explore the rich culture of Agra by visiting the majestic Agra Fort. Don't miss the breathtaking view of Taj Mahal in the evening. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Agra.

Day 3 : Agra - Jaipur

Proceed for a half-day sightseeing tour of Agra after having an early morning breakfast. Apart from the Agra Fort, visit Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah and Akbar's Tomb at Sikandra. Return to the hotel and drive to Jaipur. Do visit the ruined fort city of Fatehpur Sikri while you are on your way to Jaipur. Explore the palaces, mosque and shrine of Saint Salim Chisti at Fatehpur Sikri.
After arriving in Jaipur, check in at the hotel and relax for the day. Go and visit the ancient markets of the colorful Jaipur in the evening. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 4 : Jaipur

Move for a sightseeing tour of Jaipur city after having a sumptuous breakfast. You will be surprised to see how fast your day will pass while visiting Amber Fort, City Palace, Jantar Mantar Observatory, Birla Mandir and Hawa Mahal on this day of your Best of India Tour. Head for the hotel at night for an overnight stay in Jaipur.

Day 5 : Jaipur - Pushkar

Having an early morning breakfast, drive to Pushkar. After arriving at the holy city of Pushkar, famous for its cattle fair, check in at the tents. Relax a while and then proceed for a sightseeing tour that includes a visit to the only temple of Lord Brahma in the world and the holy Pushkar Lake. Later return to the tents for an overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day 6 : Pushkar

Post breakfast, pay a holy visit to the only temple of Brahma. Do take a dip in the holy waters of the Pushkar Lake. Trekking to the Nag Pahar (snake mountain) will give you a panoramic view of the religious town that is full of about 500 odd temples and lakes. Pushkar Cattle Fair is a treat to see, in case you visit Pushkar in the fair time. Later return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Pushkar.

Day 7 : Pushkar -Delhi

Have an early morning breakfast and leave for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi head for the airport to board the flight back home or to your further destination. It is now that you will realize that the Golden Triangle with Pushkar Tour has come to an end.
